Well my Tdi has 430K on it running Penrite so no one is a bigger fan but I did buy 10ltrs of Repco 10w40 oil made by Penrite. The HPR Diesel oil was 20w60 which is too thick for winter or thier semi synthetic 15w50 or something.I don't know why they stopped making the HPR diesel light,it was the pick. I use HPR Diesel 15 in my Landrover and I know that I use to use HPR Diesel Light. HPR Diesel 15 is the upgraded oil to HPR Diesel Light. If you want to check that out though I suggest you call Penrite themselves. They have a great technical department and they have alway helped me out with my enquiries.
Also regarding the thread about base oils I don't think there is one oil company that produces australian base stocks it all comes out of Singapore and the majority of the oil companies get there base stock from the same people.

Anyway I have to go and change the tyre of my wives car., I could stay on this thread all day.
