What i get sick of reading is when ever there is a LR product review they always end saying "questionable reliability, or reliability yet to be proven".
A huge monkey on LR's back.

But slowly improving it would seem..... tell you what, I would rather be in LR's shoes than Toyota's at the moment. The Pendulum is swinging in the opposite directions for each company.....

Not quite sure what you guys were reading but if you have a look at the mentioned report there is nothing nice said about LR. It is Landrover that is in detention for poor engineering and it was Jag that was up for good engineering. Bet no new Jag owners can bring themselves to admit their big spend was a lemon. But who knows perhaps they have had a big turnaround but historically I would have reversed this report and that is not necessarily because LR are so reliable more that Jags are atrocious.

    Interesting reading!

Here's the relevent part of the link:

    Jaguar/Land Rover

    B+ subject: sales
Rejected by American parent (Ford) but revelling under Indian adoption (Tata Motors). Locally, Jaguar up 22 per cent, Land Rover 35 per cent.
    A- subject: product
Little quantity for Jaguar (just three cars) but plenty of quality. Key Land Rover and Range Rover products recently had significant engine and interior upgrades. All eyes now on baby Rangie (Evoque, pictured) due next year.
    Gold star
Engineering. Jaguar continues to fare well in quality studies.
    Detention
Engineering. Land Rover continues to fare poorly in quality studies.
    B+ overall grade
If cashed-up parent (Tata) can keep the funds flowing, JLR has an exciting future ahead.
