have you got a pic of it with the TJM bar, im just interested to see what the bar looked like cause I prefer the TJM bar on my D1 to the ARB version.

In my time at TJM, brief as it was, I learned two things about bullbars. TJM don't make them for long, they seem to think that people will buy a new 4be and kit it out then that is the end of it, they don't seem to realise that the second owner is more likely to do the bullbars etc.

But more importantly I learned that insurance companies like greenies, and if memory serves the NRMA board was full of greenies for a time and maybe still is, do not like bullbars.

For all the reasons that the NRMA goes on about in their quest to rid the roads of bullbars, they are trying to get out of replacing them.

This is a conspiracy and we must not give in. If the vehicle is insured with a Bullbar then DEMAND it be replaced or they are in breach of your insurance contract.

I had a similar event when replacing a windscreen under insurance, The windscreen co tried to say they couldn't get the gutter trims they broke and the pins holding the A pillar trims and wanted to glue it back on. Got a quote from range parts for allbits (incl rear mirror that wouldn't stay on after they glued the bit on). Faxed the quote to AAMI and they sent a chq, bought stuff, fitted myself. All good. Was just a case of the contractor trying to profit as AAMi said they paid them for all the stuff when they did the job and would claim it back from them.

Not sure if this will help or confuse......

I have just taken delivery of a TJM Steel 15 bar for the front of my Disco 2 Year 2000.

The interesting thing is that it is boxed and packaged as a Disco 3 bar and apparently as long as my disco was pre feb 2002 it would fit.....

I am pleased to say that after a late night of Beer/BBQ and occassional spanner swinging it fits an absolute treat....

The box states TJM T15 outback (airbag)
    Model no.070SB15N39T
    Suits Disco 3 04+

gotta love it when its simple and hassle free. Im with the NRMA and have, to date, not had to make a claim with them (touch wood), well for the car anyway. Stacey burnt the kitchen and they came out, checked the house, decided that the bench needed replacing and the room needed painting and then did up a quote. I was going to build a new kitchen anyway so they gave me a payout in cash instead so i could use the labour for the painters etc to pay for materials to replace the whole kitchen, very easy and pain free.

Mmmm you are right after a beer less induced look 'WE' appeared to have placed the bull bar a tad too far forward.... the shaped edge of the bar should have 'mated ' nicely to the wheel arch shape..... not the
step I am looking at!!!! But hey the beer was cold!
