Smart bar make one.
well dads d3 got hit buy some old biddy past her 80s in a lil car and run the red light strait into the path of dads new shiny d3, good for him(as he said) he has a masive TJM bullbar and that prity much saved his car, just a few dents down the side and wheel arch trims broken, its gone to the insurance assessors today and told that tjm dont make that bar anymore and dont make one for a d4,
he was later told that they found a bar but its for a d4 only, im guessing the dident look to hard as i KNOW for a fact that ARB still have d3 bars, now weather the ARB bar costs more IDK, but they are prity much saying they dont want to put a bull bar back onto dads car,
now i no prity much all of you dont no my dad but he dosent like been told what he dosent want to hearand he wants a bar back on, Q is what bar and were from,, they seem prity hard to come buy
or is this just the insurance been the same old people we love and try spending as little as possible,
oh both cars have full comp with AMY

Get the insurance co to get a price on a new Factory bumper, I'd wager they'll find a bullbar ))

im thinking of doing the same with the rear bar in my disco. I bent it ages ago and put a nice dent in the rear panel above the right hand side tail light. I reckon i might be able to convince them to pay for a steel rear bar over a new original one.
Seems weird that TJM have stopped making them, has you dad called them and asked why? Is there just no demand for them?

i think thats what it is, when he got the d3 the first thing he did was find a bar, arb dident have any at the time and tjm had one there witch they had for ages, and could be fitted straight away, and wile they were ther fitted long range tank and winch,
i see a hell of a lot of d3s as you would amagen. and if its got a bar its got arb,
the only other car wev had come thru with one was a rrs with a massive cow pusher on the front from tjm,
whiteD3 on here was the first to get a TJM bar....mainly because his car was used to develope the bar
i have not seen any other D3's fitted with a tjm bar so maybe they stopped making them due to lack of sales
TJM did do an alloy and steel winch bar but I have an ARB winch bar on my 2008 D3. call them direct
If the octogenarian woman was at fault, your Dad does not have to use his insurance company AAMI. The vehicle has to be returned to him in as close as possible the same condition as it was immediately prior to being bumped.
It may actually be a case of the repairer having offered a bid and won the work from AAMI and is now wanting to maximise his profit by cutting out the cost of the bar.
The rest of the stuff about where to acquire the bar follow the info from others.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Simple. It had a bar before the accident. If returned without then it is not fit for purpose and goes back for a bar. Flatly demand a bar or a newe D4 with a bar, their choice.
well he is getting another bar, and its going to be getting a new ARB steel winch bar witch will be powder coated silver, should look good, i always hated the tjm bar,,
