And I am surprised no-one has mentioned the towing with the snatch straps.
They called the straps "snatch straps" but I don't believe they would know what they were using. Maybe they should be called Larry, Curley and Moe. But then again, the Three Stooges were actually funny.

Faulty Towers was much better viewing, switched to Top Gear only in the ads and managed to see the caravans taking a bashing

    Well I kinda enjoyed it.

And me thinks those who think the RR running out of oil was a setup are a little too precious.

I enjoyed it too! It's much better than the last two series. Take the show for what it is - entertainment. There is very little in either the Australian or British versions that you would consider serious consumer information of new vehicles. There are other shows for that ... and they are boring!

It's interesting how many threads I read about the "standard Landy oil leak" and then people take offence when one runs out of oil ...

Are you suggesting that the British version is any more serious ???

Was sort of funny, but definitely going backwards.
And do they think they get any credibility running one car out of oil and boiling the guts out of another??
And then that Spastic Warne testing supercars, lost the last of their credibility altogether. He should be left to doing what he does best, playing with his balls.

    Ouch OK here we go.

Craig they aren;t looking for credibility.. they are having fun.
No-one buying supercars changes or makes a buying decision based on TG.
Warney, the cashed up bogan, may not be much good at them who knows but he DOES own a Laborghini superlegera somethingorother so he's possibly a tad more qualified than you.
Let's face it - the most "qualified" person on that show is Steve Pizzati and he's an annoying little **** - wish they'd get rid of him !

Having said that I still think it lags LIGHT YEARS behinf TG UK.

Realistically we shoudl hav our own motoring show, independent but without following the Top Gear formula.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

For me it is annoying because it is Top Gear Australia

The show is an imitation of Top Gear and the presenters don't have the chemistry of the UK presenters

They should have developed an independent motoring show with different format

Secondly to then have it followed by UK Top Gear highlights the Aussie show failings even more so

As for what they do, it isn't serious motoring show, more of what can 3 idiots do to destroy a car and how far the vehicles can survive before being thrashed by indifferent careless morons.

The thrashing of the caravans on the so called 4wd circuit is excellent example of how can we destroy them either indirectly or deliberately as quickly as possible and how long will they survive the reckless motoring.

Should be called Crash Derby not Top Gear
