I worked for nearly a decade in drug and alcohol and also in the Prisons Medical Service. With all that experience I am well aware who manufactures, distributes and sells the stuff. Don't get me started.
You can not tell me that there are not a lot of people in power protecting some drug distribution networks. When I was working at Kings Cross, some of our street kids would come up to us and tell us that the Kings Cross Police were dealing the best drugs in the city. I had to hold in my laughter until about a month later the Kings Cross detectives were raided and many arrested. Yet Detective Sergeant Graham (Chook) Fowler and Detective Trevor Haken (yes I met both in Police/Community liaison meetings) remained free and able to continue their crime spree for the best part of a decade. Now there's another criminal organisation the NSW Police Service, they're always around criminals and criminal activity!
IMHO if we were to remove the crime and treat drug use and addiction as a health problem we'd be far better off. Even use ethical manufacture to make the stuff for maintenance programs. We could even tax it and still be able to supply at a price where there would be no value in it for criminal organisations. We do it for alcohol and tobacco!
I know its off topic put here is the criminal organisations control bill (nsw) not a mention of bikie gangs this act can be used against any group the police want to, land rover owners, football clubs anybody that can be shown to have a number of criminals and what group doesnt have some:o

Rhetorical question right? There are plenty of sources that describe political systems and democracy is but one.
The democratic system here is MMP, yours is not. MMP panders too much to the smaller parties but it decentralises power away from the two party system we had previously. Other than that, I don't understand your question.
