    Buying from the US

Can anyone offer some advice.- Typo in the heading OOPS

I would like to purchase an item (Fuel line repair lit) from the US. The item is manufactured by Dorman Products, part number 800-300. I rang Dorman this morning and they do not sell direct, but suggested either Rock Autos, or that I Google another supplier.

I was on the phone to Rock Autos for ages and they couldn't find the item. I then found the repair kit on Amazon.com

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/checkout/i..._addr_continue

Problem is that Amazon are acting as a shop front and the company doing the selling do not mail Internationally - only local post. I am assuming that it is actually Dorman, listing on Amazon.

    Any advice would be welcome.

I have an account with Singapore Post which uses an address in Oregon to get around the US agent not using international post. Sing Post onfowards the item to Australia upon them sighting an invoice for the item to prevent illegal items.

It cost postage from US supplier to Oregon paid upon purchase of goods to supplier ,and Singapore Post costs to send to Australia. All in Singapore dollars paid via Paypal.

I use it for gun parts, motorcycle parts and clothing.

Despite there being a "Free Trade Agreement" between Australia and US, some US companies do not want to know. They only sell to their own. Thats why I do not even give them the option any more. I buy from Australia or UK.
