To the driver of the white Discovery who lifted a finger to me yesterday on the Gympie Woolooga road, sorry, I was busy changing the CD, I normally do acknowledge LRs of any model.
I found that when I had my old Range Rover, I could wave and be waved almost every time. Now that I am driving a Discovery 3, I never seem to get waved, so I had pretty much given up waving. However... I have made it a new year's resolution to wave to every Land Rover that I see, regardless. It can't hurt can it. Perhaps one day, people will start waving back.

To the driver of a white D4 in Newcastle a couple of days ago, I didnt like the look up your nose when I waved at you, or was that your way of waving back.
Wonder if he dislikes D2a's so much

I was completely ignored at one of our campsites in the High Country over Christmas, by a fellow in his D4 (AND HIS FRIENDS) I must be strange cause if I was having lunch and someone was camped at the lunch spot, I would at least wave or say G'day to them.
But sadly not these people
Remember this D4 owner

I have been holding of on Disco drivers to see it they can muster a wave first, sadly the count has been 0. And when many of them are women on the way to a coffee shop I'm not surprised, but a loaded off road tourer not waving says it all.
On the other hand a find just about all Defer drivers wave, ranging from a raised index finger to almost falling out of the car there so excited to see another. I know which car I like driving.

Well,
I own a D3 and make a point of waving to every LR I see, my wife and kids think I am mental and unfortunately most either ignore or are too surprised to be getting a wave from a D3 to respond.
Only problem is I drive a Mini as my daily commuter drive and have sometimes found myself getting very blank looks from LR drives as a dude in a silver mini waves to them.
So if you see a Silver D3 or mini in the southern suburbs of Sydney waving, wave back!!
Regards,
George
Had to go somewhere today. I thought I'd take the Landy,
Driving through Bullengarook, some 4WD's pulled out some way in front of me travelling towards me. The drivers of the maroon Puma and white Defender waved at me and I waved back.
Hi guys. Are you on the forum?
I always make a point of waving or raising the hand from the steering wheel when passing another landy.
I used to ride a bike and it was common place to do so then and I think it's a great little way to say to another enthusiast when out driving
