What did he use for a winch? A 101 winch?
If you can't take photo's for fear of breaking your camera, I have a camera I'll risk.
    Want to arrange a viewing?
I'll have a lookfor a photo on the LROCV website Mick. Swaggys got a bit of history there, and hasbeen to the Blinman gathering a couple of times.

It's really not that ugly (by my standards) but has been rolled more times than Chris would care to remember. The exocage has prevented alot of damage though.
the winch is a regular Thomas/Ramsay worm drive PTO unit driven from a thomas chaindrive pto via a short universally jointed shaft into a small spur gearbox to reverse the drive direction. Wire rope goes out to and around a pulley on top of the rear crossmember, then out to a roller fairlead on the front bumper via another pulley, guide rollers tubing etc. front pulls are as normal. Rear pulls are affected by leaving the rope hook attached to the front bumper and pulling the rope out the back and running it through a snatch block at the anchor point (tree) .
Be happy to arrange a meeting sometime in future. LROCV are having a trials day at my block late Feb. Would that suit?
Oh, I forgot about the hybrid I built for Nigel Gamblin about 7 or 8 years ago. That also had a mid mount winch, forced articulation suspension, crawler box, etc etc. That was featured in 4wd monthly mag around that time and then won the 4wd custom of the year award .There must be photos of that around on the net somewhere.

    Thanks for that link Serg.

    It is one impressive beast.
I take it it's still LHD so I assume currently not road registerable?
It's obviously a comp car. Does he drive it in local comps?

    Yes Bill.
I'd love to call in that weekend.
I'll pencil it in the calendar.
