    Ipswich clean up....

at this stage my place is not flooded, maybe not as dry as I like but not flooded.

Theres plenty of people in my area not so lucky.

I'm now flying back earlyish monday morning and will pretty much be hitting the ground in the switch hooking up the trailer grabbing some gear and getting into cleanup.

For those of you who have offered to help me out thanks in advance.

What Im aiming to do is basic access, safety clean up and emergancy shuttle runs. I know for a fact that there are some people who have lost their vehicles in my area.

Once Ive hit the ground I'll be chucking the normal garden tools and safety gear into the fozz hooking up the green tandem and getting to getting rid of crud. I'm going to try to get the SWMBO to head round to see if any of the locals need to get a run in somewhere to the shops or similar (or even do a goods run for them) to help them get by.

If you are keen to help out in any way (right down to driving the coffee machine) drop a line here. I'm probably going to start out at Scallops place

The more I can get the merrier.

Id idealy like utes and trailers to haul junk away on and if youve got them to lend or use

Heavy duty garbage bags/bins, axes, pruning gear, shovels, gloves wheel barrows and if you can spare them bedding, old shoes/socks/cloths cooking gear basic food packages.

a small inflatable /dingy/#5 trailer thats still water tight with drain bungs also has the potential to be a huge asset.

if your happy to get your vehicles interior a little dirty, people to help shuttle run people out of the area or into the area.

IF you are planning on bringing your vehicle please grab at least a jerry of fuel for it as I have no idea what the fuel situation is like in the switch.

For those that are willing to stay on and help out I'll lay on my place, I should have enough spots to sleep about 5 people more if they bring their own sleeping gear.

Good to here mate. Been watching it on the news here in Kalbarri.
Pretty devastating stuff. Was watching the coverage on Brisvegas, Southbank Beach was about 2 inches away from taking water over the bank last time I saw it and switch peaked at 19.5m with a recession of about 40cm at about 5:00pm banana time.
Was going to send you a flouro pair of floaties to stick on Fozzies mirrors!!!

Sent from my mobile tellingbone using rock carvings.

no need for the floaties mate Fozzies a real diesel that runs quite happily under water so long as hes got air.... a 2 m lenght of 100mm poly and a set of goggles would have been more use.
