Kindest and best Andy.
P.S. that is a an amazing amount guys well played.
Thanks for the updates, the AULRO family never ceases to amaze me, everyone is always there to help out no matter what no matter when and everyone on the forum should give themselves a big pat on the back for this. I bet alot of the people who donated to this worthy cause had never had the pleasure of meeting Chris, regretably I am one of those people. I have read the stories people have been posting and seeing that he was a genuinely top bloke and I not only feel sad for loosing him way to early and sad for his families loss but I also feel sad because I will never have the opportunity to meet Chris. Rest in Peace mate.

Hello
This is Karly, Chris Hardie's wife. I wanted to say a huge thank you to all the people that have honoured Chris and his family through their good wishes and overwhelmingly generous financial support over the last couple of months.
I didn't watch the forums, it was way too painful for me to face much at all for a while there (especially since his disappearance went kinda viral online), but it got back to me through several different (surprisingly unrelated) ways that people were saying very supportive things about Chris, and Hard Rover online. I know that he would have loved to know that he had touched so many people in the 4wd community. I'd also like to take this chance to say thank you for the support everyone showed for Hard Rover. The business was only very young, but Chris was welcomed into the community and Hard Rover started very successfully. I know he prided himself on specialising in Land Rovers, and he loved anyone who shared his passion. So, thank you for helping him to realise one of his dreams.
To the people who helped search for him for those 2 weeks, both online and out on the tracks, thank you. Your care and dedication blew us all away. Not knowing where he was was a nightmare. I have never experienced hell like that before. But it helped so much to know there were people out looking.
And to those who contributed with donations, you will never know how much relief your generosity brought. Because Chris and I were married 8 weeks almost to the day he went missing the will he made was declared void. This has meant that everything was, and still is, frozen. Chris was the earner in our house because I have been home with our baby (who turned one 2 weeks ago). Through the stress of not knowing where he was, to the grief of finding out he'd taken his own life and would never be coming back, to relentless morning sickness and the fear involved with no legal will to fall back on...the one thing I haven't had to worry about is finding immediate cash. Your donations gave me some time to get my head around things, to begin grieving properly, to feed my kids, and to make sure my older daughter could stay in the same school and keep some much-needed coinsistency. Thank you so much.
The kindness this community has shown us is beyond words and we can't say thank you enough, but please know we appreciate it immensely.
I could say thank you forever...but I really hope you can feel my appreciation, along with Chris's family's, through this humble letter that can never really do justice to the magnitude of what you have all done.
Thank you a million fold,
Karly Hardie
Well if that doesn't warm your heart just a tad then I don't know what will.
