Camping spots in the St George-Goondiwindi-Moonie triangle?

    Hi all,

Anyone know of any good camping spots in the triangle that is roughly formed by St George-Goondiwindi-Moonie?

Can be free, paid, state forest, private etc. Doesn't matter in that regard.

    Thanks

There is a free camp at Nindigully next to the Pub.

When we were passing through a couple of weeks ago the Moonie River (which is directly behind the Pub) was quite full and the yabbies were plentiful. So if you have a Yabbie net (Opera House type) take it along.

    Cheers, Erich

The spot suggested by Bundalene looks good.

Assuming that you don't want caravan parks (which are at St George and Moonie) an alternative might be Kapundar Fishing Park, 9km N of St George (but there is a fee here).

    Best Wishes,
    Peter

Thanks I'll have a look at those.
Just trying to organise a midpoint camping trip with some friends and don't know the area other than driving through it on the highway.
