I just fitted as set of Hankook RF10 265/70/16 on my 99D2. Before that had a set of bighorns but the older the tyres got the worse the noise. There were good and lasted 70,000km.

    the great tire debate

so much is actually determined by where you drive. i assume muddies are good for Queensland but muddies are just stupid in SA 99.9% of the time.

I run BFG AT. Over the Easter holidays I followed 2 other counties both with BFG mud’s up the same assent. Both used lockers and aired down. they also spat out a few rocks and dug a couple of holes. I aired down and with the odd slip here and there made it over with zero fuss. Muddies just dig to much

That doesn’t mean that my BFG ATs are better than BFG KM2 s. but they were in this scenario.

The only tiers that i haven’t had any real trouble with ate BFG and terra tracks

Cooper AT's or ATR's, there is a differnce in tread pattern, the ATR's are a newer pattern.

My family has cattle properties in central and north Queensland and have run Goodyear Wrangler MTR's for probably over 10 years, I think we have only ever wrecked one before it was worn out. I have the new ones now so can't say as to there longevity but are doing OK so far.

There is evidently big supply problems with BFG tyres at the moment. They scaled down production fue to the GFC and are supplying the US market at the expense of everywhere else.

My old pattern BFG M/T's have been great but I think I'll try some 255/85 Maxxis next time around. Bit cheaper than BFG's and I've not heard of anyone having dramas with them.

As for Coopers - the only good thing with Coopers written on them are Beer and barrel makers premises. That's it.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
