    New Defender?

Stumbled across this shot I hadn't seen before

The site doesn't give a lot of detail.

To curved. Nowhere to check your square is accurate and the paint looks to shiny to stop you cuppa sliding off.

I think this is simply someone's guess at what it is likely to look like. If it does come out looking like that it will be pure accident.

For what it's worth, my guess is that they are likely to come up with something that in appearance is about as similar to the present Defender as the D3/4 is to the D1, and I would point out that the flat front on this illustration is likely to be one item that is not likely to be continued, as this is one of the problems with the present styling both from a pedestrian impact (EU) compliance point of view and from an aerodynamic drag and hence fuel consumption and emissions point of view.

And after all, practicality (hose out interior, flat glass, minimum heating from sun, simplicity and durability) are rather more important than appearance aren't they?

Not in this day and age. RR s example. Fill it with electronics and they will buy.

Yes I tend to agree with you John, although I thought it was worth a look (show?) anyway. I dont mind the "guess" although those lights on the bumper wouldn't last long. Better looking than an FJ cruiser too.

I recall watching this test. (RRC vs. Pedestrian) which argues that the flat front of 4x4 can cause less damage than a sedan. (If it wasn't for the position of the MAF......)

I liked the looks of the 2011 Defender that was parked in front of my house yesterday - but there is no way I would think of hosing it out...

And get rid of those stupid "alpine lights".

Getting quoted to have them filled in the D2
