Mine had no preload by 30,000 km.
According to Mr Ford dealer, the diff was filled with the wrong oil from new

The oil had turned to black sludge by 30,000 km.
They have now rebuilt it under warrentee.

Typical Ford, no recall, just fix the ones that complain.................
