Or the bikky dippers I saw at two different spots emptying thier crap tanks in park up area's,but hey them 4wdrivers are dangerous. Pat
Look, as much as it is enthralling for the massesto see a stoush....I'm not going to get into a ****ing contest. I am right and you are wrong
. By your own admission...you made comments to stir....or what is known "trolled" ( inverts just for you) at 4WDA..to what end??
As we all know...4WDing can encompass many things.....the thing is....some of the things we like to do......we are made to feel bad by those that do not like what we do.
Sadly..some of you are buying the lines fed by greenies and their ilk.........."My goodness....look at that person driving through a mud puddle". The actual action of driving through a mud puddle or scrambling up a rutted incline...IS NOT WRONG....regardless of where it is.
Ok....so driving through some thick goo ain't ya cuppa tea...fair call...but why bag a fellow 4WDer because they love doing it? That I do not get. Personally...and is well known on trips...I'll belt through the smallest puddle....mainly cause the kids are 'Go on Dad". Cripes...hang me out to dry!!
Garry as Dennis notes.....I'm more likely to be having a laugh than slapping someone....keep bringing it up though if you want.

Stevo
P.S. Soapboxers...I think we have a new contender
P.S.S. Oh no...I have finally become Dobbo![]()
If people already have a vehicle engineered with larger tyres or more lift then what is being proposed, will they need to re-engineer it to the new rules or not?
Can they keep running their set up providing they don't let the rego run out?
Eric
I seriously doubt that The RTA would recall every previously engineered vehicle for re inspection. If they do I'm moving to Russia.
Unless VSI50 specifically bans portals I think you would be ok anyway.
We have more or less established that 9.00x16 (35''to 36'') tyres were available as a factory option on Landrover series 2a,3, 110 and Defenders, so the additional height of these should not be included in the lift restrictions, and as Diana pointed out on another thread, you could go to 37'' or 38s with the 50mm extra allowance..your Volvo portals had 35'' as standard, and at around 120 mm portal drop they fall within the allowable limit, and would be an interesting argument as it is neither a suspension or tyre lift.
Wagoo.
Don't know why you changed the subject to bottles and rubbish, but on the subject of tracks, mud and what our vehicles do, IT IS FUN!!!
Can't really prove it, but it is, in the same way that Mt Everest is, (and Alma Cogin isn't)
You might try and pull that stick out ya bum and try it, you might enjoy yourself
