Is Aulro the largest 4wd website in the world?

Because it certainly is the slowest!
It is the 15th of the month, my wireless account is refreshed and I have a massive 3 gigabytes to play with.Yippee Log on to Pirate, instantaneous. lr4x4.com, Aus 4wdAction, difflock.com, Ditto.
Aulro, slow as a wet week as always Feels like I'm downloading every thread simultaneously before anything happens, and the dimishishing blue scroll line on the right hand side of the screen takes for ever to diminish and allow a forum jump even long after the 'Done' notice on the bottom left of the screen appears. The scroll line is still 40mm thick as i'm typing this and to escape I have to click on < 'back'.
Is it because I'm on wireless? if so why do I only experience difficulties with Aulro?
    Wagoo.

    speed

    Hi All

AFAIK mine runs ok, the only times AULRO slows up for me is when I down load some pictures that have a large file count.

If people are posting on the forum they should try and compress their picture files before sending.

    Cheers Arthur

The thread title suggested this thread would contain posts of a different sentiment.

    Well, Is it the biggest?

I agree that AULRO can be quite slow to load. I have an Optus cable connection and it was taking up to 30 seconds. I was running XP (SP3) and IE7.
Having rebuilt my daughter's MacBook Pro including new display screen (don't ask..) I had several months experimenting with Apple before she took it back to "work" on Cape York...
Shock Horror!! Safari on the MBP loaded AULRO in about 7 seconds... let me try that again...yep about 7 seconds depending on the Optus network speeds.

So I retested the MBP on the home wireless network which draws from the cable ...7-9 seconds

I recently downloaded Safari 5.1 onto my new win7 laptop machine with the quadcore i7 CPU and 16GB RAM... (50% price of new MBP) 6 seconds on a good day.
    IE8 by comparison...10-12 seconds

I don't claim to know the answers...that's why I log on to AULRO

Wagoo, sounds like you need a little bit of tropical therapy. Come north for a while, dig your feet in the sand, listen to the waves gently roll onto the beach, chill out. All that rush, rush, rush, will give you ulcers. Get hold of John Williamsons cd, put on " I go a little further north each day ", de-stress. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
