    How to use the Search function?

    Morning all

    Well I I must be a luddite and doing something wrong but I am not getting good results from the search function.

    I am entering metal in oil or TD5 engine oil or engine oil contamination and not getting anything relevant (it seems to me) plenty of threads come up (17 pages) but all sorts of topics, the G wagon, REMLR stuff, but I don't see any thing that narrows it down.

    I don't want to just select Disco 2 area because what i might be after could be in general topic or under the defender or the good oil

    Please could some one tell me how to use the search function better?

    (what I am looking for is threads about metal contamination in the engine oil of a TD5 in a September 2002 Disco (new to me, first oil change i did last night))

    Shall be doing more investigation today and post up details on related / new thread later

    Are you using the Advanced Search feature?

    Also try using Google to search AULRO. abaddonxi suggests a format like this:

    "Discovery 2" "oil contamination" site:aulro.com

    Adjust the search to suit.

    it's been my experience that google seem to change their algorithm from time to time and you don't always get the same results, most of the time, yep they are the same, but not always

    that is the full domain name of the server with the data and it is usually a tad quicker but again, not always
