    Shannons insurance is underwritten by

Insurance issued by Australian Alliance Insurance Company Limited (AAI) ABN 11 006 471 709 AFS licence no. 235011. Shannons ABN No. 91 099 692 636 acts as an authorised representative of AAI.

shannons has been my choice for a few years now, cheaper to insure a bf gtp toy than the every day car if you state the car is occasional use they have no problems dropping the policy. multiple cars give a different discount amount. 1 windscreen a year, agreed value, choice of repairer, easy claim (just destroyed a peugeot), carcovered all places (unregistered covered on trailers and private property i.e car shows) maybe able to find one cheaper for each car but for a few the ease of one policy is good. can pay monthly and also give discount if you qualify for fleet policy. chris

Shannons is OK for the classic or special vehicle but not so good for the more modern everyday driver like the OP's D3.

RACV Complete Care - Had their Comprehensive cover and when renewing they offer complete care which gives rating protection, windscreen, choice of repairer, unlimited hire car, hotel, transfers, taxi's everything and it was cheaper! All because they don't charge fees for monthly direct debit unlike their comprehensive cover...

Not the cheapest but no issues when claiming is priceless!

this is like asking which tyres or diesel fuel is best......there never appears to be a constant here. My best .....by a long shot......is NRMA......and I cancelled over 20 years of allegiance to AAMI when I took it it out. They were $450 odd dollars better than any other quote on my D2 TD5 with lift, bars, lights, lockers, glass, radios all covered.

And they have a higher paid claim rate than any other insurer also something people often ignore.

JustCar are the cheapest for me with the Discovery TD5. Apparently because it's turbo it's a performance vehicle!
JustCar are $800.00, Shannons want $1,100.00.

Shannons don't even list my Falcon Pursuit ute to get an online quote...

The D2 Forum has had an insurance sticky thread for quite a while now,,,

I'd hate to think we were one step ahead of our D3 brothers-----

I'm sure if you phoned them they would talk. I couldn't find a car on their web quote, also they cover you anywhere. Others only on gazetted roads
