    What to do? What to do?

    My wife and I were watching Midsomer Murders tonight and the detectives were using a Defender 90.

    My wife said "I think they're cute. You should buy one."

    I replied, "You wouldn't drive it or go anywhere in it. You think my P38A is a truck."

    "I think I would drive that. I've always liked them." she responded.

    I tried to tell her it would be a waste of money but she reckons we could afford it. Are they still available for $40k driveaway?

    Gaaahhhh! I don't need another Land Rover! Besides, I'd want a V8, not a Puma.

    Just watched the movie, safe house, with Denzel Washington, more people were shot in this movie than all of John Waynes movies in total, however the highlight for me was the number of Land Rovers in it, a Disco, some cool black Range Rovers, and a couple of really mean looking black defender 90's. The best part of the movie? When Denzel and his mate were escaping a Capetown poor black housing area in a Toyo. Land cruiser ute, and a Defender 90 T- boned it, and sent it flying. Bob

    Buy an "older" 90 and get Bruce Davis to bang a nicely tricked up V8 into it and bring it up to newer spec. I saw a Defender he had upgraded and styled up to current spec look in one of the 4WD action mag's not too long ago.

    Assuming you picked up a decent starting point on the cheap, he could probably do you a tailored "Ron Special" 90 for less than $40K.

    We all need project pressures to keep us "on the boil" Ron!

    P.S. Don't trade the P38 with accessories on... I still might be able to find some extra pennies for the rear bar!!!
