I like that there is some Richmond AULRO's! I'm in Cremorne with my D1 (Richmond is the same thing...) on Balmain st. I've been doing some work myself as I'm lucky enough to have a carport within our backyard - although when I say lucky, I mean it was a condition of moving when searching for a place with my girlfriend.

Unfortunately not really enough space to share, but enough for me to keep the Disco off the street and under cover...

Also, MCLR is one of a few reasons i started doing everything myself. I don't think I can even afford them to change my oil again... Yikes! Plus I recently emailed their service centre asking for an approximate price on getting my timing belt changed to which I received no reply at all. I would have thought a premium price would come with a premium service....

(Apologies to anyone who works there - I'm sure you're all really nice people. )

    LOL

I'll have to send you a photo of Clarkie's place, there wasn't any space left that wasn't covered in cars last time I drove past ! Dunno about the workshop out the back, but getting to it would be a challenge...

There used to be a place off Warrigal Road, near the Kingston Road / Centre Road area (?Bentleigh / Moorabbin), at the end of a little dead-end street that goes west off Warrigal Road. I'm talking years ago, can't recall any better location info and no idea if they are still there, but they had a well equipped workshop, hoists etc, rented all manner of tools and charged per hour plus tool rental.

It was called "Do It Yourself Car Repair Centre" It was almost opposite Kingston Rd which I think is Moorabbin but could be Cheltenham. I am sure that they are long gone.

Yeah they are decent blokes but the prices are a little eye watering. Don't mind paying for stuff that would be to complex to get right myself or would need special tools etc but for jobs like whacking on new shocks / springs I really should be doing that myself

Haha... That's why I was wondering if he knew anywhere.

He's pretty good at keeping his finger on the pulse.

PS... You'll have to ping me a note & let me know how you're settling in some time.
