No. What I am saying is that four wheels on the ground is better than three. If traction control fails with open diffs and short travel suspension, and wheels are lifting then it's back to 2WD or 0WD.
Our D2a has TC and it's excellent but I don't see it as an alternative to 4 wheels on the ground.
With the D2a I've had ABS and hence TC fail on a number of occasions whilst towing on loose dirt roads. Having the ABS fail is actually a bonus when pulling up on loose dirt, losing TC is an inconvenience. If I had to rely on TC to overcome wheel lift and hence forward momentum I reckon it would be a problem.
