I also had a '70 J3000 truck in the late eighties, early nineties as my work truck and it was 2wd too, (found out it was one of three imported in 1970 for a mining job) and I'm pretty sure the Jeepster was 2wd back in the fifties but they seemed to be the exception to the rule.

Id like to see the comparison of the D4 and a new 1974 RRC....tyre grip and compound being equal

Turn off the electrickery in the D4 to make it really interesting.....

Sure and the RRC cannot use its CDL.

D3-4,L322RR etc would eat any live axle LR before it,and any of the competition. Pat

I think you might find the gap closer than you think. Traction control is great but it isnt vertical take off.....Remember im talking about the original soft sprung, load leveled rear Suspension, lightest RR built. Ground clearence will come into it.
