    You would make a very good politician as what you said really says nothing much at all other than, your happy with being a Vego for now or until your health starts to fail and then you will consider another lifestyle?

    Other than that, over whelming scientific research said that Cane toads were a good idea, that building atom bomb's was a great way to protect our countries and overwhelming scientific research say's you and your greeny mates are all wrong completely, while being sponsored by the oil companies and big business.

    But it's Over whelming scientific research so it must be right as normal just whelming research or just research wouldn't have the same level of importance or stature.

    I think that Greenies and Vego's have the same special thesaurus of how to make something sound more overwhelmingly important.

    There are many things wrong with the world and not everyone will be happy, in the end when we're all gone from this world, it will repair it self and go through yet another phase, you and your kids or your far off ancestors wont have to worry about it much, best we just do what we can to make us happy and comfortable for now and work slowly and carefully toward possibly allowing mankind to be around a bit longer.

    I'm far from being anti Green but I'm also very very far from being any sort of green nut or extremist, I have been a beef and sheep farmer, I will always eat meat as will my kids but I will always will do what I can to reduce my personal impact on the planet but I'm not going to go to extremes that make life uncomfortable, I'm only here once I'm going to enjoy myself.

    Felling a bit under whelmed

    Cheers Casper

    Oh dear.

    You and I both don't know what you're talking about;
    but you just highlighted why I thought to post at all.
    Count to ten, take a deep breath and READ the post.

    If it helps you understand, I ate meat for breakfast. Good luck.

    If I do not eat red meat at least once a week, I get really tired.

    Do you know of anyone who is allergic to meat?

    I know plenty of people who are allergic to grains.

    And who can afford to eat meat these days, I reckon the high cost for our aussie meat, may have turned a lot of us meat eaters into eating more veges, oh no, not hamburger mince again. It doesn't matter how you try to reconstitute it it never tastes like steak

    There are people allergic to meat, but no one on earth is allergic to pears...

    This is irrelevant to the original point, but interesting nonetheless.

    A pear diet would be very uninteresting and lead to dietary deficiencies. It is also likely to lead to diarrhoea because of the high concentrations of sugars in the fruit.

    Also you may like to review the following articles about pear allergy:
    http://www.livestrong.com/article/19...ergy-symptoms/
    http://foodallergens.ifr.ac.uk/food.lasso'selected_food=39

    http://allergies.ygoy.com/2010/06/28...-pear-allergy/

    The reality is that individuals can develop allergies to any protein, including those contained in pears although pear allergy is quite rare.

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Yes, why does red meat now cost more than chicken?

    I remember when chicken was the more expensive option.

    As I said in an earlier post, Sunday roast when I was young was chook, and it was regarded as a special treat.

    From wikipedia;

    "Meat allergy is extremely rare in the general population, but a geographic cluster of people allergic to meat has been observed in Sydney, Australia.[51] There appears to be a possible association between localised reaction to tick bite and the development of meat allergy."

    May explain a few things?

    To get a lamb of cow to market size takes longer requires more acreage and time .
    Chickens however are bred and on the market in a few weeks, they are table ready before your tomatoes plant even has it crop of tomatoes.

    They are fed all sorts of concoctions to increase weight gain.

    I have been so used to eating chickens from the supermarket that when I get a farm killed one and eat that it seems to taste bland. Maybe the productions chickens are feed flavour enhancers also??

    I know when I get a Christmas Turkey and I read the ingredients on the label, there is a list of additives.

    One thing though, you don't want to come up trumps when the chicken sexer blows your back check feathers apart and finds out your a rooster and not a hen. It's straight to the gulag and extermination camp.
    At least the hens have a longer life if only a few weeks

    Some butchers are using the illegal preservative sulphur dioxide to make old and greying meat look fresh. A butcher in Yagoona has become was caught using the toxic additive - a major ingredient of battery acid - on beef mince.
