I notice that almost all of the suggestions are for what's not actually in Perth! True, there's not much to the place but it is great for heading off further afield.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.

We were in WA 7 years ago for a quick look see. Loved it. Didn't go north looked around south west corner mostly. Margret River +++. For dolphins go to Bunbury it was free, Monkey Mia costs++++. Lots of winerys & fantastic forests. We explored a lot of the coastline from Perth to Esperence and beyond Beautiful Will be back for another look soon

    Try these ideas..

If you want, try a beer at the Cottesloe hotel. It over looks the Beach. Go in the afternoon, watch the sunset and enjoy the regular live bands......Us west aussies take pride in being a little more laid back than the easterners.

Or go a little further along the coast to Fremantle, try little creatures, a gourmet brew house that serves food, wine and their famous beer. It over looks the fishing harbour. Fremantle also has great food, interesting sites like the fremantle prison (try the tour), is famous for its old buildings and great cafe strip.

If you want to give the landy a run, go to Lancelin and drive the big sand junes on the edge of the town (its a rugular pilgrimage for the Perth adventurer).

    Hope this helps
