I know of a sure fire way of getting them to leave the area. Very cost effective as well.
its called a shotgun or flare gun.
works a treat
We have had an annoying Helicoptor hovering over Helensburgh for the past 2 days, any other suburbs having this problem
It's not the Police or the SES, nor NPWS, the Police said they have tried to get them to bugger off with no success
Baz.
Cheers Baz.

If they are below the legal 500ft limit without permission , you should be able to read the Rego of the Helo.
If you get the rego........ring CASA.....they will take interest.
If you can not read the Rego they are above 500 ft.
Note
they could be doing power line checks and cleaning in your area.
When you consider the hourly cost to keep a helicopter in the air, it must be there for a very good reason.

Maybe they are installing power lines to Helensburgh? Welcome to the 20th Century Baz!![]()
My guess is something to do with the mine, came in from the south (maybe Albion park) radar picked it up as it lifted over the escarpment at Panorama house at 10:47 was over the burgh at 10:52 staying around 1500 - 2000ft. It appears it may have landed at the mine at 11:45. (vanished off radar so either landed or headed off down the valley)
Reappeared again from the south at 13:58 (maybe headed off to refuel ?)
