I think I'm heading to the dark side

Its all over I think, life has changed, 3rd kid on the way, a prospering business and Its time to build another vehicle, unfortunately, non rover

In the next few months I'll be selling it all, the 120", the P38 all the left goodies I've hoarded away, the 700 grizzly, all the stuff that no longer gets used, the Jag has been given to the old man

I was planning to supercharge/LS3 the P38, but then fuel range etc, space becomes an issue so its over to the darkside

I'll be selling it all and building a GU wagon, with 6.6 Duramax as my only toy

I have 1 conversion to finish off in the next month or so, set my shed up more for sparky stuff and storing stock whilst accumulating bits

I need something that gets me out bush, has good fuel range and is relatively comfortable, so after much procrastination this is likely the way I shall head

I'll be here for a while yet though

    Atleast its still kinda ISUZU

It would be in a P38 if anything, but then I'd have to build custom diffs etc, plus to all the R&D on my own adaptors, don't worry I procrastinated long and hard, 10 years modifying rovers is a hard thing to break

You'll regret it taking the easy route that is haha, a 6.6D P38a would be an absolute beast, i've actually thought of that exact combination. DO IT

I'm sure you already have buyers for a lot of your stuff but I'm putting my hand up for the 120.

Why would you go Duramax when there's the 6BT Cummins, you can even have a VE injector injector pump if you want, just like a LR and one of the best and most reliable diesel engines ever made.

Time, i don't have alot anymore

I need seats, family wont fit in a single cab

Space, can't fit a Duramax in a P38 without huge mods, which is well within capabilities, but back to the time thing, I was originally going to use front GU 3.5 diff centres and make everything work in P38 housings

Economics, I've made a few phone calls and have 2 that want side by side conversions done in GU patrols, I never could get the willing response for P38 owners for an LS? conversion

Also, please note I'm not trying to sell anything here

Why not drop a wagon or DC body on the 120(+7)???

But the Duramax does sound nice...
