    eg.. Right in the middle of my Xmas Pud one year I got a call to travel north of Adelaide to the Barossa Valley..... Freezer Room buggered. Stinking Hot Day. No Car AC. Saved the bloke thousands of $ but we became good friends after that until he died a few years ago after walking out of an onsite trucking Co office in Brissie & got run over by a Fork Lift. Apparently he was a right old mess but stayed the course for a few years until he snuffed it due to his mess. Maybe you knew him? Maybe you were even the Fork Lift Operator?

    Two extra holes in the torso will do that to you.
    I wasn't the forkie, but I've met a few candidates. They don't seem to be any more productive than their steadier colleagues.

    A pity there was no way that the two Fork holes could be utilised, although I suppose they could have been used at a pinch, to hold his Banana Lunch. Two in each hole.

    A couple of very flattened knees/thighs wouldn't help either so he obviously would not have looked forward to his Lunch Break.

    A very sad and timely warning for campers with gas I thought the fridge experts could educate us more on.

    I thought it had a pong added so you knew there was a leak?

    I'm not sure it was Refrigerant Gas but Butane or whatever is used to power the equipment other than Mains Electric

    'er indoors brought this to my attention with the same query this A.M. People tend to get a tad confused when GAS is mentioned especially with Camping gear. when it could be LPG. Remove the Oxygen in the air & it is time to drop the curtains which unfortunately seems to have happened. Will need to wait on the Coroner's report on this one.

    Does LPG have an added odour? Dunno I believe Town Gas does but camping gear? I don't know.

    Fridgies sound like Mine Bosses One for the fridgies
    I have to ensure all my workers WHS requirements are met for fatigue etc whilst being onsite and online up to 20 hours a day if necessary...

    Nothing released on exactly what happened,but at a guess,no doubt a gas electric fridge,operating on LPG,either the LPG was leaking or the the carbon monoxide(?) got them.

    Strange as in the heat we are having lately,you would think the tent would be well ventilated,although if sleeping on the ground,its the lowest point and these gasses are probably heavier than air.

    There wouldn't be enough refrigerant in a 12V compresser refrigerator to cause any problems in a tent.

    A sad situation.

    its not just driving,its working around and in electrical switchboards,and with super high pressure refrigerant,etc,etc.
    Easy to make a mistake that could be harmful,or wreck expensive equipment.

    A few years ago,one of my boys fell asleep at a set of traffic lights going to a job.The people in the car behind woke him up,thinking he had had a medical episode.
    He was doing long hours and had a young child that was sick,and was up half the night.

    We don't do those long hours anymore.The customers can just wait until the next day,unless it is super urgent.Often we would get to an after hours job,and all the stock was in another cold or freezer room anyway.

    We also don't program weekend work,unless we absolutely have to.

    Although gear does seem to disappear from the shed, for weekenders...

    Oh,but we did work until midnight the other night cleaning strainers and bleeding air from a chilled water system.But that was a had to,as the whole site had no AC.
