Just got back from "it's a long way to the top", the final show. Ian Moss did a fantastic tribute to Billy Thorpe. Moss CAN play. Bob [ noiseworks ROCKS!!! ]
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Geoff Achison - great guitarist, little known
Pretty sure my little bro has played drums for Geoff quite a few times, said he's pretty good.
But asking him (bro)who he thinks our best guitarist is and he said what i said, Jeff Lang.

I'm surprised Vlatko Stefanovski hasn't made a mention yet. One of the low profile guitarists who would have to make the top 5 of all time in my book.

    James Burton
Unless i missed it on here
He & Ricky Nelson were great friends, played for him
He's worked with most of the big names.
Was Elvis Presleys Lead guitarist from 69-77 & In 2007, James was among the first musicians to be inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame.

With full respect to the dudes like Knofler and Gilmour et al who I grew up listening to, I have to mention some other guys who get quite different, but still awesome sounds from their guitars. Firstly, Thurston Moore and Lee Ronaldo from Sonic Youth have been making a fantastic racket since the late seventies. Secondly, Johnny Marr from the Smiths still makes my hair stand on end (check out 'The Queen is Dead'). And finally, every time I listen to Radiohead at least one of their three guitarists is doing something brilliant. These are guys who use their guitars quite differently from the old, blues inspired legends but still make great music.
