Any AULRO members lurking in and around the UK able to get in contact with him ? I've left a comment on the BBC website, with the AULRO address to be passed on to him.
Wonder what British LR forums (if any...) think of it all.

Depends on your definition of irresponsible then. For me, irresponsible would have been someone trying to cross the same depth of water in a Kia - Land Rover driver in this case was hailed a hero.Quote:

In my limited experience, I don't see what the problem is?
I didn't read anyone commenting how irresponsible the truck driver was.

Hmmm, for the last eight years I've either had to drive through a flooded river, or for the last five years a flooded creek just to get in or out of home when it rains, as did/do the neighbours.
It's that typical city/country disconnect in the first world, what's normal behaviour/conditions in one takes on an almost alien perspective in the other.
That's not deep - do a You Tube search "Fire truck drives through Aussie flood."
Yeah! it's amazing what one can do if they don't own the vehicle like the police Disco and the Firies truck :wasntme:
