Thread: Experienced my first traffic jam in years today

Yea Byron is a far cry from what it used to be Ean, I used to surf down that way 20 odd years ago, so different now, they call it "progress"

We went there for the first time about a year ago. Decided to stop there for lunch and then the afternoon on the way back from a little further south.

Couldn't even get parked, let alone find somewhere to eat. Quiet, picturesque and village-like it is not.

Was "changeover day" yesterday,ie all the mob that were in Albany for Xmas went home and the next mob replaced them,they all cross paths in Williams at lunchtime!!!! I kid you not I waited 5 minutes to get out onto Albany Hwy,bumper to bumper each way.
Off to Albany for a week in the morning with Deb and the boat,Lindsay is working so he misses out,shame he makes a brilliant deckie and steers the boat really well too.

The LAW obviously know all about this mass migration of Perthites,they had a multinova down from the city getting them both directions.Seems when you are used to doing 110+ for a few hours,50ks is way too slow.It was here all day.

Yep know what you mean I used to Surf at Margaret river in WA in the early 80s before the south west took off now I don't think you would be able to or could afford to pitch a tent there.

G'Day Sleeps, welcome to the club, my work is a 12 minute walk from my place, only one problem though, if I have an early finishing shift, there is a pub that I have to walk past................would be rude not to pop in and say "hello" now wouldn't it!!
