Now a tourer, but did time in Barrington Tops NSW with pumps etc mounted behind boxes. I'm currently drinking water from the original tank camped on KI!
Not my "vehicle" but I bet it's bigger than numpty's

Similar to this one I seen in Scone NSW in 2008.
Easo
We use an old Ford L/Ville as a water cart at our Quarry - it used to pull triples a looong time ago, but it's low gearing is very useful when it gets drafted in on fire fighting duties around the boundary (and beyond!)![]()
barrington tops and scone are near me but the one I know is a single cab
Built it about 10 yrs ago when all our local brigade had was a pootrol with a little tank and a couple of slide ons.
Selectable 6x6 via two series T,boxes with a PTO pump driven from the second.
Load sharing rocker copied from my 6x6 ex perentie.
Trusty 2 1/4 diesel.
Only down side is its BIG turning circle
Didiman
Scone on the door and Curra on the rear ?
Curra's about 110km from Scone ? but they do both fall under Liverpool Range control.
[edit] Just realised those photo's are out the back of Liverpool Range HQ at Willow Tree. I should have already driven past there this morning but I'm too busy downing my second latte![]()
My 130 is ex NT BFC, IIRC based out of Tennant Ck but also did some time around The Alice.
Did it's three years/75,000km and once the lease was up, off to auction it went.
Ours -
Type 3 Medium Pumper
3.4D Tanker
We should be up for a new tanker soon as all the others in the area have gone to the crew cab design. A new pumper should be coming in the next couple of years - Scania Type 4 Heavy, due to the areas we support into.
