    Anybody Here From Bundaberg!!

Looking at the news, a Cyclone has struck Bargara Beach near Bundaberg. I hope any of our Bundaberg Forum users are OK. I recently flew to Bundaberg to visit one of my daughters who lives at Moore Park Beach. After hearing the news about the cyclone I rang her to see if everything was OK. It is, although she tells me it is absolutely pouring down rain and the wind is about 100k's an hour. Moore Park Beach is flooded in so they can't get out, but they are safe where they are.Phew!!

When we visited Bundaberg two weeks ago we went to Bargara Beach and this is the idealic scene then, I can only imagine what it looks like now.

It is wet and windy and the Bargara landscape has changes somewhat in the last 24 hours

Reports of 3 mini "tornadoes" locally have made abit of a mess.

I've been living in Rockhampton for the last 7 months and if Brisbane get the amount of rain we have received in the last 48 hours I'm not sure who Maurice Blackburn are going to sue next.

If the rain hits Brisbane the same way as it has done here and most of the qld east coast, Vegas is screwed. Wivenhoe Dam would not have made a scrap of difference, like in 2011.

Anyway, Brisbane's turn is eminent so time will tell. Those people who are preparing as if Brisbane will flood again, like in 2011, are wise.

Uncle Ho, I hope anyone you know there, that is close to the water, have a plan.
.5-.7m above the high tide tomorrow, add the wavesfrom a 'light' onshore, and it will be a bit damp.

Andrew, the powers that be are a little more proactive this time. Even letting bookoo water out of North Pine! Wonders will neve cease.

Take care all, see you on the other side of it.
    Dave.
    Cheers, BDave.

    G'day Barefoot Dave

The wife has some dog breeder and Facebook friends up there and we sold a Blue Cattle Dog pup to the owner of the Bargara pub a few years ago which he promptly named "Tractor"

    cheers

I did see on the news tonight with a few comments regarding releases from the North Pine and Wivenhoe, plus one chap in Auchenflower stacking up his furniture. Both smart moves in my opinion.

By the way, my experience was pretty good, parts of Rockhampton lost power, water and mobile phone reception. I only lost mobile phone reception and therefore Internet access. No big loss really.

Apart from some snoozer stealing the fire extinguisher from the back of my work ute, it's actually turning out to be a good time to spend with the family

    Regards
    Andrew

Heavy rain and wind here ALL night. Irrigation pump will be underwater again, fences will be flattened, orchard trees waterlogged. This is three years in a row for us. March 2012 flood was worse here than 2011. Now this.
