Unregistered vehicle permit : VicRoads

I got a 28 day permit a week ago. Cost me $67.50.
It was an easy process. You will need the VIN (chassis number) and engine number. Previous Vic rego number may also be helpful.

2 years ago was all done online (no telephones) - included secure credit card payment.

The Victorian system for Unregistered Vehicle Permit is way better than the ACT system.

Here we have to nominate the day (singular) and can only drive the vehicle within the ACT boundaries from 7am to 7pm on that day. Costs $40.80 (which includes insurance). You can't get it online or over the phone - you have to go to a shopfront to get it. I got one today.

Be thankful for the VIC and NSW systems

Two weeks ago, on line was not an option.
They must have had too many issues.
