I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

    Thanks very detailed. Good find

As an ex Sapper diver I Am familiar with these, there was one at Penguin.

Better than the drastic later design in the 80's which were top heavy and caused illness in the heartiest of passengers.

As a wooden boatbuilder after discharge, it is amazing to consider the logistics of the construction of these vessels to a very high standard. There was no shortcuts or expediencies like today.

Thanks Bob, as I was having a quick scroll through on my phone, I noticed it mentioned Thursday Island.
Dad was stationed there during the war, but I could never find out exactly what he was doing etc. He was with the navy, his brother was flown in to visit him. As they are both gone now, I might find some info on there I can track down.
To much info has been lost or not relayed

Go to www.awm.gov.au , with your fathers details, [ name, rank, official no. , area served], you should be able to use their system to find details of service. You can even print out a certificate of service, to be framed. Bob
