I'm fairly active in the running and triathlon world and there has been an enormous response of devastation, grief and sorrow for everybody at Boston, those who have been affected and for the sport. This has come from all over the world, not just here or in Boston. People are asking questions, why running, something that is fundamentally good and not aligned with any particular group. It's a great relief that no Australians have been killed.

I hope and would expect that there are no ramifications for Australia and running sports. It will be interesting to see where this came from and what the reasons are.
    Cheers

Unfortunatly this will make all sports where there is a large spectator gathering change thier threat and liability assessments, more security and insurance more cost.

Only two dead, sounds like amatures to me. Not a nice thing to happen to anybody though.

Remember that people that do these type of things are brainless.
If they were well organized (thanks God they are not) they were going to place the bomb at the start of the marathon when all the participants are together.
