Pigs feral or domestic will eat anything including bone, teeth being the only exception. A guy I know who owns a piggery observed them set up rats, they would lie down and ignore the rats, then as the rats got more confident and cheeky the pigs would all stand up at once trapping the rat, kill it and eat it.

Goingbush, I have got to get myself a dash cam. Thanks for sharing.

I like the hanky stuck in the passenger side window of Ian's rig to stop the rattles.

The dashcam is great, except those pig shots were taken out the windscreen by my wife holding a regular camera.

That's my rig behind the Land Rover, If you haven't passed McKinlay yet, you might be able to still find it behind the servo (the Landy, not my truck).
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

During a very long drought i have seen them eating dead pigs that were shot the night before.
A few years ago, during the drought, my next door neighbour got one (with his Hilux) in my place and called me to let me know. The next morning, I went to check on the body, and found one of the pig's mates breakfasting on him. I did a U-turn and went back to the house for a gun. He continued eating, allowing me to stop about 25 yards away. But started to walk off when I opened the door. Never was much good at moving targets, but got him with two shots.

Checked several times over the next few days but saw no more.

And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a ****head. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig ****, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".

The fellow who owned that old Series was dirt poor and quite seriously ill. Often I had to load the pigs with only this chap's wife and 7-8 yo son to help. They were basic but honest, salt of the earth battlers.
The lad was supposed to be doing his primary school by correspondence but showed little aptitude and less interest; reading was a particular difficulty for him.
After loading I used to go and shower then meet the little bloke in the roadhouse. He was truck mad so I bought truck magazines for him. I made him read me a short article before he owned the publication.
Last year I stopped there and enquired about him, his old tutor was serving behind the counter; we no longer recognized each other. She told me that he was doing a bit of station work and truck driving now. She remembered the truck mags and reckons if not for them he would be illiterate. Shame he was at work when I was there, I'd liked to have caught up with him.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
