I can't believe Jessica went to the same school in Darwin as my two youngest boys Wulagi State School. A while after them, of course, Bob

One of the often forgotten greats, and a guy who 'got' what it is about.

    A Whiter Shade Of Pale

    Hello All,

A Whiter Shade Of Pale - Procol Harum

Hmmm when this song came out on the 12th of May 1967, I would have been 4 years old. I always wondered why this song sounded so great; with every bit of vinyl emitting sound. With this 2006 version of the song played in Denmark it is clear to see why!

There is not much difference in the lead singer Gary Brooker's voice between 1967 and 2006. Enjoy

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

    Hello Jerry,

I suppose the album cover was somewhat psychedelic to fit in with the time.

Here is another well orchestrated song - this time from the 1970s

Just heard this again and I've gotta say I'm digging it
I'll concede it won't be to everyone's taste but nice to hear some guitars on the radio in a sea of beats and bubblegum pop!
