be careful with repco and supercrap...........they push their own branded bulbs saying their "made in same factory as hella etc", which is obviously a lie if you look at build quality..... and suspect they will do the same with blinker/flasher boxes...... oddly enough found autobarn much more honest in this regard.... and priced within 5-10 percent and some cheaper then own branded repco crap. Im slowly gathering bulbs for the disco to do the same.....100% positive will work with solid state box

    G'day bmw535guy

Did you notice that I specified NARVA equipment and by Part No. I know the gentleman and the vehicle involved,we have been Land Rover owners and friends for over a decade now,and I worked in the automotive spare parts trade for over 35 years both Repco and Genuine BMC/Leyland.

    cheers

If not PM me and I will pop into my local branch (trade A/c)

    cheers
Hi Kevin. Did not make it to ABD this year. Too busy with Doctors and Dentists etc. You know how it goes.
Got to go into town Friday so will try again .
However tomorrow I wil try a combination of resistors to see if I can get something to work.
Trying to get the camper ready to go to Glenreagh.

Or importantly also giving an indication that the indicators are working - ie cable to trailer attached.

Just thinking back its over two decades getting on to three
We were at the Len Beadell lecture too and in fact camped the nights in the Uni grounds as it was too late to drive home.
Got sprung by security but I said my headlights crapped out so had to wait till morning to fix them. This was in the old 2B camper.

Well hooking up the two Narva resistors in series then connecting that lot in parallel with the led slowed the rate down to acceptable limits.
The other highmount leds and the side led,s all flashed brightly except the new one mounted lower, its a bit dull. I put this down to me buying an ebay cheapy instead of a name brand.
So I need a total of four resistors . Two each side.
I also contacted Hella and they suggested flasher 3036 and sent a spec sheet. Its for LED,s and bulbs and matches the landy wiring except for a spare pin as its 5 pin not 4.
Thats not a problem either as the spare pin C2 is the same as C which are for the trailer pilot.
Instead of mucking anymore with resistors I will bite the bullet and order this and it may bring the other leds brightness up a bit.
The downside is they cost around $120.00
I asked Repco about Narva and they said they could not find one that would do the job.
