Not impressed at all. I wouldn't have thought that anyone would be allowed to do anything other than maybe upgrade.
I've signed.
Not sure if this has already been covered on this forum but please check this site out and decide for yourself what you think should be done!

You are spot on with this. My signature now graces the petition.
Slightly off topic but I feel relevant, there has recently being a tribute wall built in Seymour Vic with the names of all Viet Vets, the ones that did not make it home as well as the ones that did.
I went and visited it recently and I thought it was a nice touch.

Jeez, was looking at the memorial on the news tonight with the Families flown ever there for a service wondering when they would bring the memorial home, never IF!

BTW, and this is being used as one of the excuses for not bringing the wall home.
The wall also contains the names of fallen solders from other countries and the scum bags responsible for trying to bulldoze this wall are claiming it would be politically to sensitive for us to bring the wall home to Australia.
The hole in their claim is that we, AUSTRALIA, are responsible for dismantling the Tirin Kot base, so we will, if these low lifes get their way, be held responsible for desecrating a memorial that is honoured by other countries.
I think this partition should be made available to people in the other countries who have their fallen listed on the wall.
Simple question , are they going to bring the $200,000 bulldozer home? If so they can dismantle the monument and put it on that flight or container as it would hold far more value to those families who lost a member.
Another solution in this modern age is to take the original home and offer a gift to the other countries who have names on that list a replica, this would help with relationships with those countries as well as solve the problem.
Signed
seems odd they just flew a lot of the families over there for a wee ceremony and then this pops up?
wonder if it was posed to them?
