don't know about Navigation 300, drifter posted today
Mrs hh
Hello All,
Can anyone let me know if Navigation 2000 and Drifter are still on the forum - or if the two people could contact me?
Mick 88 suggested that I might have a Nissan Cabstar gearbox in Hunter my Series 3 Long Wheel Base so I did some research.
Navigation 2000 posted up some photographs and the MF Conv & MF 201 which are shown in the photograph are the same numbers that appear on my gearbox.
Drifter then replied saying the gearbox in his Land Rover had the same codes.
It would be great if you contacted me so I can find out some more information about the gearbox and what breed of Clutch Slave Cylinder your vehicles ran so I can get mine re-kitted or new parts.
Okay we are going back a couple of years now; 19th June 2011, 01:08 PM .
The details of the posts are below
P.S. I have "borrowed" Navigation 2000's photograph showing the MF product codes. They are the same as what is on my gearbox. The Mark French Adaptor - now owned by Mark's 4WD Adaptors is fitted between an SD33 Six Cylinder Diesel and what is according to Mick88, Navigation 2000 and Drifter to be a 5 speed Nissan Cabstar gearbox.
I just hope the clutch slave cylinder is out of the same box too so I can get it going again.
Kind Regards
Lionel

Hi Lionel,
Yes, John (drifter) is a regular but Navigation2000 has not been on here since Jan - but look here for his excellent handiwork:
Is there a place here for modified ex army Land Rovers?
You might try and send him a PM or email through here or REMLR.
Bob
I sold the vehicle to Banjo. I believe he still has the gearbox and adapters.
Hello John - drifter,
Thank you for the reply. I did an Advanced Search Cabstar limited to Series forums and it did come up with one of Banjo's threads it- "Harry Highback" (?). It was something like 55 pages longand I went "next" thread which only had about 3 pages.
Sorry BanjoI will be more diligent and look through the thread again.
Thanks again John.
Kind Regards
Lionel
Hello All,
It turns out it was not Harry The Highback which had the Cabstar gearbox in it. It was the Yellow 2A Station Wagon which is marked as "now gone" and its thread was "MY WAGON new toy". The Advanced Search limited to Cabstar and user name Banjo does flick up Harry as well - not sure why yet.
Banjo just wondering why you let it go - apart from it possibly being a wee bit thirsty?
Kind Regards
Lionel
Why don't you just send him a private message?
Yes, it was in the orange 2a (the yellow 2a was a different vehicle) and I understand the orange 2a was sold but the V8 and cabstar gearbox were moved to harry.
Send Banjo a PM
Come to think of it, I may have some photos of the clutch slave cylinder here - but Banjo should be able to answer your questions.

Good Thinking Number OneI shall send Banjo a PM
Oh people will see in the Other Powered Series section that I stumbled upon the manufacture and make of the clutch slave cylinder ... how about a Land Rover Series 3 one
Kind Regards
Lionel
