    Ebay - some people...

Well, the entertainment never ends - listed a large, bulky item on ebay starting at $1 and a buy it now of $20. Stated clearly in the listing that it was for pick up only, no postage. Just logged on to find it had been bought - beauty.

Sent the buyer an email with my phone number asking when they could pick it up. Got an email back asking if I could pack it up and post it to Queensland... Ummm, no... Sent an email back saying this, and that they shouldn't have bid on it if they couldn't pick it up, and that I'd toss it in the bin as that would be easier than posting it.

Got a VERY irate email, then an abusive phone call. Email was along the lines of 'You Victorians have all got your heads up your asses..' Can't put down the details of the phone call, as it was all come up as *** those things...

So, I've re listed it, stating 3 times in the listing that I won't post it.

Will be fun to see what he comes back with. Might be in for a spot of fishing tonight...

Which is why I sell big and bulky stuff on gumtree, much more local. Ebay gets stuff that's easy to post.

    e-bay idiots

Know where you're coming from, I deal on e-bay all the time. Most of my experiences have been good with the odd idiot here and there at times.

Some people just don't get it do they? Pickup is pickup, no arguments

On those occasions I sell items via fleabay, Local Pick up, I generally add a note packing & Postage are at purchaser expense - Pleas contact for detail, re cost etc. I have not had a problem selling large bulky items. eg., Fuel tank
In all instances the purchaser has agreed, paid the $'s and been happy.
I have also purchased, interstate, items marked 'Pick Up Only' after first contacting the seller to determine whether they were prepared to pack & post at my cost. Most have,

Well I also deal on ebay a fair bit and where I have contacted the seller on this, at least 50% of the time Pickup Only also means I will post if it means a sale.

However if I am interested in an item that says Pickup Only I always check in advance to confirm.

It's a $1 to $20 item - it is easier for me to chuck it in the bin than organise transport for it. I told him that, and he blew a gasket.. He then emailed me saying to never contact him again - which I promptly ignored... He responded... Fishin' is good tonight...
