Ideas needed for leveling a trailer on uneven ground. Not ramps or blocks.

I'm in the design stage of a No 5 army camper trailer and am trying to work out how to have a quick, simple, leveling system for when we pull up on uneven ground. I would prefer the stabilizer legs to also be the leveling system if possible.

    Any ideas?

i have a box trailer with a roof top tent on a frame above the quad bike. To level it up, I purchased a second hand Defender jack that slips into the back end of the trailer on either side. I put it in the low side, and jack it up to level. I also use the jockey wheel on the draw bar to level front to back. Gives 3 points on the ground, and is easy to level. I can even use the jockey wheel with the Defender still attached if i only have to raise a bit. If I am there for a while, I can use the Defender jack from the car or a highlift jack on the other side to make it very stable. I keep the spare Defender jack in the storage box on the draw bar.

    Cheers,

    Ken

I've got something similar on my Track to level it for camping.
You can see I have one stand set up in this photo but I have another for the other side.

Mudnut is onto it.. A three point stabilisation system is simple and works well. You already have a jockey wheel on the front.. (The only thing I'd change there is weld a foot on the bottom and loose the wheel, as it puts less stress on the rear legs, and lets be honest... How many people wheel their trailers around...). If you were to build in to pin type drop legs at the rear of the trailer (12 mm pin hole every 25mm), you could un hitch, drop the two rear legs down to suit the slope and then wind the front leg up until the trailer is level fore and aft. Let us know how you go. Do like the look of your trailer Mick. Looks purposeful!! Cheers for now. Simon.

Not that I need to as I sleep it he 101, but the Sankey I tow behind it can be levelled as others have suggested bu a 3 point system. This is all built in by the Brits, so nothing further required. Legs unpin, then repin facing down, then they extend to the desired point. The front one can then be used to level the whole show. It's not perfect mind you, as there are no handles to wind down, just gravity so if you are on a decent slope a jack would be required, but the idea is there, and seems to be what everyone else is doing.

Brilliant! Thank you everybody and Mudnut for nailing it.
    Can't believe I didn't see it.
I'll post on how it all goes.

Thanks Bacicat for helping me out with the speakers. Above and beyond.

Very rare. Hidden amongst the hens teeth.
You can buy mine at the bargain price of $1.3 mil.

Keep your eye on the ex-mil auctions. There's one in Adelaide soon I think.
There was one for sale up at Dookie last year. I think he was asking $700.
