I love the look of them, I reakon that they would be GREAT in the mud.

what does being x-ply make any difference to???

This is beginning to look like a good option, 3 dealers in town should have them (if there is any in stock)

    1) Lower prce

2 ) toe in setting is different (radials have 0 deg toe in on a series landy)

    3 ) Lower price

4 ) much chunkier tread pattern

    5 ) Lower price

6 ) more rolling resistance than a radial

    7 ) Lower price

8 ) less wear on your compressor as you only have to blow them up to 25 pound

    9 ) Lower price

10 ) they should hide the sound of that worn diff just nice

OK, so I guess the price is a big thing 8)

Rolling resistance and noise are a given with a tread pattern like that.

Do the x-ply run at a lowwer pressure? what is the ride like, better or worse?

Does the construction of the tyre make any difference to wear, performance, safety etc?

Gee, i'm full of questions tonight.

as a general rule you run an equiv size radial 10lbs higher than a conventional

in a landy the ride isnt any different at all mate...

handling is of no consequence either at 80k.

leaving your self a little extra braking distance on a damp road might be advisable tho ..

i have driven em on everything from ballons to conventionals and the x-ply's do ride a little hard but they handle the knocks a little better as well.

these are what the old girls were built to get about on when it is all said and done.

Sounds like the goods. I might have to enquire further.

I was asking about ride because the missus has been complaining a bit about it, so the less that I have to pay the better, and if the ride is minimally different, then so be it.

Thanks for the info incisor. Much appreciated

Does anyone know if the Rhoden x grip is the same as the sime convoy?

Found it on the tyres4u webpage. Might just be the same pattern, but both are made in malaysia.
