Heat wise, it's nice here in Vietnam. A bit humid, but not too much, quite pleasant. No more happy hour by the pool, and no more pretty girls going swimming, but I have the prettiest one waiting for me back home

So where in Vietnam are you Muppet? I'm guessing Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi if there's decent cars around. I spent several months working in HCMC and I really liked the place. Extremely friendly people, great food, and if you go in the summer months, damned hot too.

And it's refreshing to hear your eyes are no longer sore.

4th trip to the area, first time was in 06. Spent maybe two days in HCMC, then headed north.
Since then it's only been the occasional stop over for international - domestic flights.
Personally I prefer Hanoi, it's a much more pleasant city to spend time in on your own, which is helpful as mum works here, and will be for the next year
No shortage of nice cars, we looked after a Vietnamese girl when she studied in Australia, kind of became my half sister, so she looks after us when we visit, and her parents are super wealthy.
The parking lot would have had upwards of $1M worth of fine motor vehicles, Lexus, the Vogue, BMWs, Audis, etc.
But I agree, the people and the food are wonderful, so friendly.
