Pink floyd shine on you crazy diamond either the original from the wish you were here album or the live version from delicate sound of thunder. I am a massive pink floyd fan so i found it hard to pick this track ahead of other ones. But i guess the original thread was what music moves you and i chose pink floyd not only because their music i truly love but shine one you crazy diamond tells the tragis story of syd barret and also captures a time in the 70s when pink floyd were at the fore front of recording in different ways.

I agree, for indigenous Australians to keep their language, and teach the young, is so important to their culture. And to hear it expressed like that, is , indeed, beautiful. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I have seen it Lionel. I'm stuck in the eighties Ska music, just love it. I'm 55 and in the last three years have seen The Specials, Madness, The Selecter, English Beat all touring Austealia, (probably on their superannuation tours but who cares). It's music that lasts. Not like a lot of the crap that is peddled as music today. Or am I getting old?

    Awesome Music

When my kids pester me about my old music I remind them that if it is still getting airplay 40 years after it was first record it is great music, Presley, Orbison, Beatles, Stones, The Who, Cash, Eagles etc. When todays noise has died away lets see how many are still selling out concerts in their 70s like the Stones. By the way my 15 yr old son loves Hendrix and the Beatles.

I'm afraid I can't cope with "Beck's" version of a brilliant song, I don't think anybody could sing it like the original by "The Flamingo"s"
