I can totally relate with my non-sauce loving friends.
Can't stand the stuff, and so many places just throw it on with no second thought. Constant vigilance is required.
Even got to the point that I changed shops where I used to get my lunch. The original would try and put sauce on everything, every-time, despite repeated requests, and catching them right at the point of the bottle in their hand. Then they would laugh & say sorry. Wore a bit thin after a few months.
Didn't ROVE run a campaign for free sauce......I have sauce on sausage rolls and pasties and reckon sauce should be free
It is tough finding a good pie these days
Wish HP sauce was more widely available. Now that enhances a pie.
Sauces should be free. It's a basic human right.
FFS, my sauce thread has been hijacked by sauce haters!
My real fear ladies and gentlemen is that we will soon be being charged for salt and pepper sachets and sugar for our coffee or tea. I blame Masterfoods and Heinz for selling the concept as an income generator for struggling small businesses. Corporate scumbags.
Given Rove tried and failed, I will cease my lofty aspirations of a successful "free the sauce" campaign for Australia Day 2015.
Hoo-Roo,
Dave.
HP? That was fine until they changed the recipe. I threw out the last bottle that I bought because it tasted so bad. Brown sauce on bacon and eggs is compulsory though. There should be some sort of UN convention on it.
I have to say though, that if a pie is enhanced by sauce, it's a pretty poor pie.![]()
Oh dear, is this Thread going to degenerate into a debate between "sauce lovers" and "sauce haters".![]()
NUKE the sauce lovers!![]()
Fast food burger chain? A friends son works that one and he said they hate 'personalising' burgers. He says it only comes like it says on the menu! Some requests are simply rediculous - double toasted buns, rare or underdone burgers (not really possible btw), only the green leafy bits of lettuce, tomato between the cheese and patty, apparently it goes on and on.
As for suace, I don't really like tomatoe, more of a BBQ or HP man
