Red Neds at Nelson Bay - award winning gourmet pies galore!

I've also had a nice pie at Beechworth Bakery in Beechworth.

Meadows in the Adelaide Hills has a new joint at the intersection by the Pub, servo and the Park.

Pik-A-Pie. Run by a young fella. Shop is a bit sparse, but has some nice pies.

My fave is his "Salt n Pepper Squid" pie. Sounds revolting, but tastes awesome.

Next is his "Cheese and Sauce Dog". Basically, a hot dog snag wrapped in flaky pastry, filled with cheese and sauce. Surprisingly good too.

He makes his doughnuts on site aswell, they're only $1 each, and are some of the best I've had (for a bakery style doughnut), as they're fried, not baked.

We've had some really good pies from Country & Weston bakery and café on Aldwyn Road, just off the Mount Lindesay Highway at North Maclean, QLD.

The only issue we've had is that a couple of times the pies have been so hot, they've taken half an hour to eat! I can't report on the sauce status, as it's definitely not needed.

Ridgy Didge Pies, Abermain. On the right hand side, just before the "Denman" pub when you're heading toward Cessnock from Kurri Kurri.
    Barry's Pies, Blacksmiths.
The pie shop in Shortland gets an honourable mention for it's pasties.
Also the Caltex servo in Swansea does a good pie, not sure if I'd do it sober though .

Outback Bakery at Fannie Bay is my local.

Two Wells Bakery was quite good the last time I was there.

It seems sauce is free everywhere in Darwin. Something I appreciate.

    Happy Days.
