The usual one around here have been mentioned, Yatala etc.

When we were in Vic recently we had Lamb and Mint pies from Cliffy's? in Daylesford, the little deli come café just out of town. Beechworth bakery in Echuca is excellent as well.

Must stop at Freddo's one day

OH and a good pie doesn't need sauce

The Village Bakery, Grantham St, Brunswick.

Doesn't look like much from outside but they do fantastic pies and brilliant greek pastries and probably the best bread in brunswick.

chunky beef, lamb and rosemary and chicken and mushroom are my favs.

Was going to mention both if these SE Qld pie shops, but haven't come across better than the Old Bakery at Stone Hut in SA. Happened across it in passing about 18 months ago, and went in to buy 5 pies for lunch (for the family), which cost $120. Mind you, that included the local wines, jams, olive oil, milkshakes for the kids and beautiful native fruit pies we had for dessert. Truly spectacular range of native meat and fruit pies as well as other local produce and artwork.

I won't mention the roadhouse on the way to Uluru that sold me a chicken pie that tasted suspiciously like roo.

Pie in the sky... The one near Bilpin NSW.

Although, the Cowan Pie in the sky is also pretty damn good too.

Mt Pleasant (SA) bakery in the Adelaide Hills now do pies on-site - they are awesome. My faves are: rabbit and leek and surf and turf but all the others are pretty good too - lamb and rosemary, duck orange, crocodile, roo, chunky steak with either onion, mushroom or just steak......... I'm drooling on my keyboard right now
