They could get on with something else either way. And if they can't, then it's one less day of their "sitting" to be paid for by the rest of us.

And more people would think that way in this country than would believe that money is well spent on entertaining and legitimizing one persons need for being "special".

It's not that you're "not technically correct" - you're wrong. Plain and simple.

That this upsets you so much says so much more about you than the whole episode says about Norrie.

    Fun to watch.

Was thinking of a comeback that wouldn't be banned by the mods, but you nailed it akelly!

This all seems to be making just as many problems as it's solving.
Why didn't they expand instead of limit it to one word, e.g reality, then personal so M -n(neutral) or F-v ( variable) Mv or Fn etc if they have had an operation they are then in reality the new bits

So where does that leave the people born with both bits? Or born with no bits?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Isn't that true of most of these supposed morality issues. In reality they make no difference to the majority of the population.

e.g. how does two women getting "married" to each other effect the marriages of other men and women who may or may not have beem married in a church. The reality is it doesn't effect other marriages one iota, but plenty of people fein moral outrage because of the issue.

Are those the people this change was for or was it another much ,much larger group? (they could be m-h , f-h or for no bits m-o , f-o )
The only problems I see are medical /emergency treatment where their either unconscious or stupid , and public toilets as I don't support the idea of a M-V going to the same loo as my 3 F daughters.

P.s this thread has NOTHING AT ALL To do with same sex marriage, which IMHO is their choice or could be if it ever gets through abbot. This was about I.D and labels.

What actual medical emergency would be affected by the gender on someone's ID card? I'm all ears.

Exactly - none. Most wards are mixed gender these days with common use toilets.

When my 86yo mum was last in hospital it was in a mixed ward and had to constantly look at the old guy's tackle across the ward hanging out his shorty jarmas as he laid on his bed - but at her age she said she had seen it all before so wasn't too concerned but I was and complained but was told how it was these days.

Maybe if the old bloke was an X it wouldn't have been such an issue.

Like so many things everything is just not so simple as to be cleanly either black or white.
